If the weather is "iffy", call the event contact to confirm the event is still happening.

(Tues) Apr 23  Trail Flagging Party. Beaver Creek Campground @ 10:00 a.m. Bring lunch!! (Contact: Betty Wagoner 509-279-8717)
(Thu) April 25  Tents/Tables set-up. In Beaver Creek campground for registration/auction/logo wear/etc. @ 9am. Bring lunch!! (Contact: Cathy Upper 509-429-2955)
(Fr-Su) Apr 26-28  2018 Annual Spring Ride. (Contact: Bev Phillippi 509-668-1024)
(Th) May 4  Regular Business Meeting 7 p.m. @ Twisp Works Conference Center.
(Wed) May 8 Golden Doe Ride. Contact: Betty Wagoner (509-279-8717). Bring lunch! DIRECTIONS: Golden Doe Wildlife Area is on the Twisp/Carlton Road (west side) approximately 7 miles south of Twisp. Flags/ribbons will mark the site for the ride. Park along the road near the flags/ribbons, or park at the small cabin on the right side of the road. The cabin marks the trailhead. The trail is mostly old logging road and winds upward to a plateau for lunch. This is a 4-hour ride (including lunch) with beautiful views over the Valley. Ready to ride at 10:00, and invite someone new to ride with us!
(Fr-Su) May 10-12 49’ers Day in Winthrop.
(Tues) May 14 Patterson Mountain Ride. Contact: Betty Wagoner (509-279-8717). Head up Patterson Lake Road and go about a mile past the Moccasin Ranch driveway; the entrance gate to our ride will be the first right after Elbow Coulee Road. Bring lunch! This is a 4-hour ride (including lunch) on a steep, climbing dirt road. There are beautiful views of the Cascade Range where we’ll have lunch. Ready to ride at 10:00. We have permission to ride on this private property. Contact Betty for more detailed directions on where to meet.
(Sat) May 18 Joe Watt Canyon Ride. Thorp, WA. Contact: Cathy Upper (509-429-2955). This ride is a fund raiser for our North Summit Horse Campground! Read more about the ride and get directions on the BCHW.org web site under "Upcoming Events". (And, see page 4 of the "Horse Tales" newsletter for more info!)
(Wed) May 22  Fraser Creek Wildlife Area Ride.  Contact: Betty Wagoner (509-279-8717). Bring lunch! DIRECTIONS: Take #20 (Loup Loup) for 6.7 miles from the #153 turnoff to the Frazer Creek Wildlife sign. Take the Frazer Creek Wildlife turnoff and go approximately 500 yards to find parking. Don’t forget your lunch! The trail is mixed road and trail with some hilly areas. Views from the ride look down-river in the Methow Valley. Approximately a 4-hour ride with lunch. Ready to ride at 10:00. FYI: Cattle may be grazing in the area.
(Sat) May 25  Western Sale.  9:00-3:00 @ Methow Valley Senior Center.
(Wed) May 29   Boulder Creek Ride.  Contact: Cathy Upper (509-429-2955). DIRECTIONS: Bring lunch! Drive 6-7 miles up the East Chewach road.  (Do not cross the bridge after going thru Lundgren's cattle ranch.) Turn right just before the bridge and follow the road 1 mile to the Boulder Creek sno-park. Permits are required. This is a 4-hour ride with about 900' gained on an old jeep road. Ready to ride at 10:00. We circle the top of the hill and have a great view for lunch and then return on the jeep trail. Please let Betty know if you are coming!
